The Kid's got us. She's the most durable kid this league has ever witnessed. Imagine playing through the pain of a torn labrum in your right shoulder. Now, whatever you're imagining... tell me how you'd play through that pain, times two. For years, she's been absolutely D O M I N A T I N G! Name the level, she's probably reached it, and then successfully become the best player there. This kid rocks number twenty-five and has an unstoppable scoring arsenal. If you didn't get to check her out at Central Dauphin High School in Pennsylvania, then you missed out on seeing a UNANIMOUS first team all-american. There's no way you missed her winning three straight ACC Player of the Year awards at the University of Maryland. I mean, she's the ACC Player of the decade. If you missed any of this, go back
and watch a game... you'll see this kid's jersey in the rafters. Don't worry though. The kid is still playing currently for the Connecticut Sun. You had to have seen her take over the 2019 WNBA playoffs and lead her team to the WNBA Finals. Where I'm from, everyone knows her as the sponsor of the The Greater Newark Boys and Girls Club girls AAU program the "A.T.E. - Lady Sharks." Their motto is "We Got Us" and their sponsor couldn't be a better model of that. I know her as the older sister who would run around with me and my twin at Millersville basketball games. There's no doubt that our vision of greatness started there. Regardless of where you know her from, or what you know her as. Just know she's a living vision of greatness. The Kid is
Alyssa Thomas.
